Teaching Approach
As a passionate educator with over 5 years of teaching experience, I believe learning should be engaging, interactive, and deeply connected to real-world applications. My approach focuses on making complex biological concepts accessible through visual aids, demonstrations, and inquiry-based discussions that encourage students to think critically rather than memorize. I integrate technology and active learning strategies to help students retain information and apply it confidently in labs and exams.
Lesson Structure
A typical lesson begins with a short review of key concepts followed by a brief introduction to the topic’s real-life relevance—whether it’s genetics, microbiology, or human anatomy. I then guide students through core material using clear explanations, diagrams, and examples that align with their current coursework. The lesson concludes with practice questions, mini-assessments, or applied problem-solving activities to reinforce understanding. Each session is personalized to meet the student’s academic level and learning style.
What Sets Me Apart
What distinguishes me as a tutor is my ability to connect with learners at all levels and build confidence in science, even for those who may initially feel intimidated by it. With a master’s degree in biological sciences and experience teaching both high school and college students, I bridge the gap between foundational learning and higher-level scientific reasoning. My students often describe my teaching as clear, supportive, and motivating.
Who the Lessons Are For
My lessons are ideal for high school, college, or pre-nursing students who want to strengthen their understanding of biology, anatomy and physiology, or microbiology. Whether you’re preparing for exams, improving lab skills, or simply aiming to enjoy science more, I tailor each session to help you achieve your academic goals.
