Experienced, Engaging and Energetic Primary Tutor - English, Mathematics, HASS and Science Curriculum

I am an experienced Primary Teacher with over 10 years teaching experience educating students from 5-12 years of age. I am currently working full-time as a Classroom Teacher at a leading Independent School. In 2013, I was awarded 'New Educator of the Year' award in the ACT Excellent in Public Education awards.

About the lesson

I travel to these locations Inner Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne. Currently conducting tutoring sessions via Zoom and Google Classroom due to Covid Restrictions. Usually conduct sessions face-to-face.

I am deeply passionate about education and supporting my student's to reach their potential. I provide an engaging and interactive learning experience that targets a range of learning styles and differentiates to cater to the individual needs and strengths of the student. I pride myself of developing a strong rapport with my students, so that they are engaged, motivated and determined learners. I aim to build confidence in my students so that they are willing to undertake risks with their learning and strive to achieve their best.

As part of practice, I develop an Individual Learning Plan for my students, that identifies learning goals that are based on assessment and data. The learning goals are specific, measurable and outline key actions and strategies that both the student and myself will work towards. Learning plans are developed based on the Australian Curriculum and are devised to cater to your child's pace of learning, interests and strengths.

I deliver my tutoring services both online via Zoom and Google Classroom, as well as face to face in the comfort of your child's home or a public venue (library). My hourly rate is $70.00. My first session is a consultation and assessment which I provide 'free of charge'.

I provide detailed notes about your child's progress following each tutoring sessions via email so that you can remain informed about your child's progress and achievement. In these weekly reports, I can provide suggestions or additional strategies/advice that parents may wish to adopt to support their child's learning based on the goal in the Individual Learning Plan. I will liase with your child's teacher(s) and other professionals to ensure your child learns to their full potential.

My qualifications include:
- Bachelor of Arts/ Bachelor of Education (Primary) - First Class Honours
- Master of Educational Leadership and Management
- Registered Teacher - Victoria Institute of Teaching (Current Working with Children Check)
- THRASS Spelling Master
- SMART Spelling
- 6 1 Traits of Writing
