Learning guitar is an immersive experience where technical skill meets creative expression. My lessons begin with fundamental chord shapes and progressions, helping students build a strong foundation. By incorporating fingerpicking and strumming exercises, learners develop dexterity and timing, ensuring they can confidently play both classical and modern pieces.
As students advance, I introduce music theory and song interpretation, emphasizing how musical ideas translate from notation to performance. Each session is tailored to the student’s interests, whether it’s jazz improvisation, rock riffs, or acoustic melodies. This personalized approach fosters both skill and passion.
Practical performance skills are central to my teaching philosophy. I guide students in sight-reading, ear training, and performing in front of small audiences to build confidence. By the end of the course, students not only master techniques but also express their unique musical voice.
