About Olive
With over 7 years of teaching experience and a BM in Music Education (Orchestral Strings – Violin), I specialize in ensemble and chamber music coaching. I direct youth orchestras, group violin classes, and string ensembles with a focus on collaborative performance. My expertise includes section leading, tuning, dynamics, and fostering team musicianship. I have worked with schools, community centers, and chamber groups to provide students with diverse musical opportunities. I guide ensembles to develop listening skills, communication, and expressive playing. Each rehearsal emphasizes cohesion, precision, and shared musical expression. Collaborative playing teaches patience, adaptability, and teamwork. I enjoy seeing students gain confidence as both soloists and ensemble members. My teaching encourages joy, connection, and collective growth through music. Every ensemble achievement is celebrated as a shared success.

The teaching method builds strong foundations in violin bowing and tone production. Students learn detaché, spiccato, legato, and dynamic control. Bow arm exercises strengthen control, flexibility, and accuracy. Lessons include posture, hand positioning, and coordination for better sound.
