About Makeba

From a young age, music has been an intrinsic part of my life. Although initially seen as a punishment by my mother, who urged me to learn the piano, I soon discovered the magic of blending piano melodies with my poetry, transforming music into a unique spoken word that weaves captivating stories.

The process of creation is the true essence of art for me. Crafting narratives and resolving climactic moments with expressive sus4 chords encapsulates the depth of human emotions. As a dedicated composer and arranger, I am driven to infuse musical ambiance into the realms of film and video games, creating immersive experiences for audiences.

Teaching is a heartfelt passion that runs deep in my family. My mother and grandfather were both educators, and I am honored to carry on this legacy. I began teaching at a young age, and my commitment to nurturing young minds through the transformative power of art and music remains unwavering.

My mission is clear—to educate and inspire youth through creative mediums, fostering a new generation of artists and musicians. Join me on this journey of artistic exploration and personal growth.

I have received classical training under the tutelage of esteemed instructor Lance Thornton, and my approach to teaching is rooted in the seamless integration of classic and contemporary elements, catering to the unique goals of each student.
