About Shawn
I'm someone who genuinely enjoys mathematics and logical thinking. Outside of teaching, one of my favorite hobbies is solving expert-level Killer Sudoku puzzles, which challenge me to think critically and recognize patterns.
My passion for mathematics is what inspired me to become a tutor. I enjoy helping students discover that math is not just about memorizing formulas—it is about understanding ideas and solving problems logically.

I believe that students should understand mathematics, not just memorize formulas. My teaching approach is heavily inspired by Singapore Mathematics, which emphasizes visual learning and logical thinking.
Instead of rushing to algebraic formulas, I guide students to visualize problems using diagrams, bar models, and step-by-step reasoning. Allowing even younger students to be able to solve difficult math questions.
