About Jessica
For many of my students, picking up the flute is a personal milestone—something they’ve dreamed of doing for years, sometimes decades. That’s why my approach is never one-size-fits-all. I specialize in teaching adults, especially those over 50, who want to explore music on their own terms. Lessons are not about speed or competition—they’re about discovering joy, building confidence, and creating space for creativity in your life. I take time to understand your learning style, musical preferences, and life schedule. Whether you want to read music, play by ear, or both, we’ll develop a comfortable routine that fits your goals. I use breath awareness, gentle technique-building, and practical exercises to strengthen tone and coordination. I also incorporate tools like audio recording, visual notation guides, and custom backing tracks to support your progress between lessons. Every step is celebrated, and setbacks are seen as part of the process. I love watching my students surprise themselves—hitting their first high note, learning to play their favorite melody, or improvising a phrase they didn’t know they had in them. This is not about being perfect—it’s about reconnecting with that part of yourself that’s curious, expressive, and open to new experiences. Whether you want to play alone, with others, or simply find a new outlet for reflection and relaxation, I’m here to help you build a path that feels empowering and inspiring.
