About YINGSHI
YingShi Helsby was brought up bilingually in Harbin, China, speaking standard Mandarin ('Putonghua') and Korean, standard (BBC) English. Studied, worked and lived in Japan for 7 years, and has qualifications in all 3 countries. She has been living in England since 1993 and brought up 2 children with her English husband. She worked as a software engineer for nearly 20 years, and now a full-time language tutor - Mandarin, Japanese and ESL (English as a Second Language) and cultural awareness trainer for over 15 years. Her qualities include: client-focused approach, attention to detail, well organised and fun and enjoyable lessons, excellent interpersonal skills, empathy and support to a diverse range of people and age. Help all learners were/are well motivated and have achieved/are achieving their best potentials. She provides free teaching materials for beginners on her website.

YingShi teaches languages to children and adults, also coaches and conducts controlled assessments for GCSE exams; iGCSE speaking exams; AS and A2 speaking exams for some local independent schools; and HSK exams. She also provides cultural training for expats to be, published a book - 'Talking with the New Business Dragon'. She is very effective, patient, caring, fun and excellent with all ages and different cultural backgrounded learners. Her teaching method helps all learners to grasp the Pinyin very quickly and accurately, remembering grammar easily and vocabularies would really 'stick'. She is very passionate and committed to her teaching.
