About the lesson

My trumpet lessons are designed for students of all ages and skill levels, from complete beginners to advanced performers who want to refine their technique and musical expression. Every lesson is personalised according to your goals, whether you are preparing for school band auditions, orchestra performances, music examinations, competitions, college auditions, or simply learning the instrument as a hobby. We begin by building a solid foundation through proper posture, breathing techniques, embouchure development, tone production, articulation, and finger coordination.

Students gradually learn note reading, rhythm, scales, flexibility exercises, dynamics, phrasing, sight reading, and musical interpretation while developing confidence and accuracy. Intermediate and advanced learners work on range development, endurance, lip slurs, technical studies, solo repertoire, orchestral excerpts, jazz improvisation, ensemble performance, ear training, and advanced musicianship. Lessons also include music theory, practice planning, warm-up routines, performance preparation, and effective methods for overcoming technical challenges.

I provide constructive feedback, personalised practice assignments, and continuous encouragement to help students progress at a comfortable pace. My goal is to create a motivating and enjoyable learning environment where students build excellent technique, strong musical understanding, and the confidence to perform successfully while developing a lifelong appreciation for the trumpet.
