About Somi
I have been teaching Spanish for 11+ years and truly enjoy helping High School and College students achieve their learning goals. My teaching style is built around personalised learning because I know that every student has different strengths, interests, and ways of learning. I create customised lesson plans that help students improve steadily while enjoying every stage of the learning process.
My teaching covers grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, speaking, listening, reading, writing, and conversational Spanish. I explain concepts in a simple and organised way while using practical examples and interactive activities that make lessons engaging. Students develop confidence through regular speaking practice, discussions, and real-life communication exercises.
A unique part of my teaching is my ability to make challenging topics feel simple and approachable. I encourage students to ask questions, think independently, and practise consistently. Regular assessments and personalised feedback allow students to recognise their progress while identifying areas for further improvement.
I also include cultural learning in every lesson because understanding Spanish-speaking communities helps students communicate with greater confidence and awareness. Students explore traditions, customs, festivals, and authentic expressions that make learning more meaningful.

My Spanish teaching methodology emphasises motivation, communication, creativity, and strong time management to help students learn effectively and confidently. I motivate students by creating a supportive environment, understanding their goals, and celebrating progress to build confidence.

Time management ensures lessons are structured, balanced, and productive, covering grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and conversational practice. I also teach students how to manage their study and practice time outside class for consistent improvement.
Along with Spanish, I can teach related subjects such as grammar fundamentals, pronunciation, and language learning strategies. My goal is to make Spanish learning enjoyable, practical, and confidence-building for all students.
