About Mireille

I have a degree in Child Development and have been teaching French for over 30 years.
All of my students tell me that I am the best French teacher and that they love learning French with me.
I love teaching. I ran a French preschool, taught French at a Waldorf school and presently teach homeschoolers, after school students and at a private school.
I am a great teacher!

About the lesson

My method of teaching involves learning through singing, sign language, drawing and story telling.
Students learn a certain number of vocabulary including basic verbs and adjectives through sign language and they create a vocabulary book that includes drawings. Then they learn a beautiful song that includes the vocabulary and we work on a story with this as well. Then we increase the vocabulary and do a new song and story with the vocabulary from the beginning and move on until they have learned over 200 words that they know upside down. I have been teaching like this for many years with students knowing zero French and been able to speak, understand and write basic French in a few months
