About Shengqiao
I am a second-year college student at Northeastern University, majoring in Business. I am a native Mandarin speaker with a strong knowledge of Chinese culture, history, and ancient poems. I was elected as a host for several major school events from primary school to high school in Shanghai. I love to communicate with students and am passionate about sharing everything I could know about China with my students.

I believe students learn best by memorizing information through supplied text materials. However, young students might easily get bored through simple repetition of vocabulary. I taught my Chinese Reading lessons with a "theater style" by encouraging students to act out the dialog or specific scenes from the reading materials for an enhanced understanding.
