About Trisha

My interest in Excel began when I realised how powerful it is for organising and analysing data in simple ways. I pursued a Bachelor’s in Information Technology, where I developed strong skills in data handling and software tools. Over the past 11 years, I have worked with students and professionals, helping them build confidence in using Excel effectively. My experience has helped me guide learners with clarity and patience.

I believe that Excel should be taught through practical examples and clear explanations. My teaching style focuses on step-by-step guidance and hands-on practice so students can understand each feature properly. I encourage learners to ask questions and explore different methods, which helps them build confidence and improve their skills. I also provide regular feedback to support their progress.

Outside teaching, I continue exploring new Excel features and tools to stay updated. This helps me keep my lessons relevant and practical. Teaching Excel is very rewarding to me because I get to see students become more confident and efficient in handling data. Helping them develop useful skills that support their work and studies is something I truly enjoy and value greatly.

About the lesson

Excel becomes easier to learn when students understand how each function and feature connects to real tasks and practical use. In my lessons, I focus on teaching data entry, formulae, functions, charts, and data analysis in a clear and simple way. I break down each feature into smaller steps so students can follow comfortably without confusion. I also use real-life examples such as budgeting, tracking data, and reporting to make learning more practical and meaningful. Each session is designed to be calm and interactive, allowing students to practise and build confidence step by step.

As students progress, lessons become more focused on advanced features and real-world applications. Beginners start with basic data entry and simple formulae. Intermediate learners work on functions, charts, and data organisation. Advanced learners focus on data analysis, automation, and complex problem solving. I provide regular exercises, revision, and feedback to help students improve steadily. This structured approach ensures better understanding and practical skill development.

Excel also helps students develop organisation, accuracy, and problem-solving skills. As they improve, they become more confident in handling data and performing tasks efficiently. They learn how to analyse information and present it clearly. My goal is to make Excel simple, useful, and engaging so students can apply their skills confidently in academic and professional situations.
