About Maya

My interest in Excel began during my studies in Business Data Analytics, where I discovered how meaningful decisions often start with well-organized information. Over the past 8 years, I’ve dedicated myself to helping students feel confident working with spreadsheets, especially those who initially find data overwhelming. I approach teaching with patience, clarity, and a calm, supportive tone so learners feel encouraged rather than pressured. Seeing students gradually build confidence and independence in their analytical skills is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work. I enjoy teaching Excel because it blends structure, problem-solving, and creativity. Whether I’m guiding a beginner through simple formulas or helping an advanced learner build powerful dashboards, I tailor every lesson to the student’s pace and goals. My teaching style emphasizes clear demonstration, real-world relevance, and thoughtful practice exercises that strengthen understanding. I believe that when students feel emotionally supported, they learn more effectively and grow into confident, capable thinkers. Outside teaching, I continue exploring data analytics, modern spreadsheet tools, and professional development courses that deepen my knowledge. I enjoy studying emerging functions, dashboard design principles, and automation techniques that I can bring back to my lessons. About the lesson

My Excel lessons begin with building familiarity and confidence, especially for learners who feel uncertain about spreadsheets. This foundation ensures students grow comfortable organizing information, performing calculations, and interacting with data meaningfully.

As learners progress, we explore more advanced tools such as conditional formatting, charts, multi-sheet organization, logical functions, and structured data handling. I guide students through each new skill with step-by-step examples that highlight not just how to use a feature, but why it matters. By creating practical exercises, I help learners understand how Excel supports decision-making, pattern recognition, and professional communication. Each lesson encourages students to think critically about data and build a strong analytical mindset.

For advanced learners, we dive into lookup formulas, pivot tables, powerful data summaries, and foundational automation techniques that help streamline workflows. We practice interpreting dataset patterns, cleaning information, and building clear visual displays for presentations or reports. My approach ensures students not only learn tools but genuinely understand how to structure data effectively, making Excel a practical and empowering skill for academic and professional success.
