About Vidya

I hold a degree in Electronics Engineering and am a Sun-Certified Java Programmer. I specialize in enhancing students' learning in high school math (Algebra 1 and Algebra 2, Geometry, Physics, and IT). And I've consistently improved my tutees' understanding, performance, and grades. I have the experience, expertise, and skills to help your learners achieve their goals. I am passionate about the success of students' learning. I paused my corporate IT career to homeschool my children in VA: one in elementary school and the other from middle through high school. Parents and students have told me that I explain mathematical concepts in a very simple, understandable, and interesting way.

About the lesson

As an experienced and well-versed teacher, I first teach the student using the methods they are already learning or have been taught, making it easier and more for them.
If needed, I break down complex problems into small, manageable steps to make them feel simpler.
With 10 years of experience in Information Technology programming, I understand that thinking through the problem before solving it is key to mastering any concept. My tutoring strategy includes focusing on the thought process for challenging concepts, which helps students build mastery.
My teaching style is engaging, and I tailor each session to meet the needs of my tutees in a hands-on and professional manner. I customize tutoring for each student's learning style, interests, & pace.
I consistently motivate my students positively during our classes, which helps them progress both inside and outside of the classroom.
