About Tammy
I teach English Language and Literature at Key stages 3 & 4, ages 11 - 16. I am also a life coach, with a range of practitioner qualifications in NLP, CBT, Hypnotherapy and Empowerment Coaching. I am SEND trained and can provide a bespoke package for all learners. I provide reading development lessons: enunciation, intonation, comprehension, analysis and evaluation. I work with more than 120 students at school, as well as 1-1 on selected evening, weekends and holidays.

We start with some basic testing to establish where we are in terms of reading, writing, speaking and listening. Next, we create an outline of what, and how we will approach the learning: i.e 1-1/face-face/group/online/local-meeting place. Then, we get straight down to it: Using established and professional extracts to inspire thought and imagination we develop confidence with reading and responding: academic style. Likewise, we plan out how we will approach a range of different writing tasks, using independent writing: journals, academic essays, narratives and descriptions. We plan for presentations and how to modify the way we speak for different audiences. There’s also support for general conversation speaking. I have 19 years of experience, I’m a qualified teacher & coach, which makes me a professional that knows what they are doing. I look forward to meeting you.
