About Ariam

I graduated from the University of Edinburgh and I am currently a medical student. I am passionate about making maths easy for students of all backgrounds and ages. Maths was one of my favourite subjects at school and I am keen to help others to gain the confidence and ability to do well in mathematics. Sometimes it's hard when you are in a large class, and that's why I provide tailored sessions for my students to optimise their potential and help them reach their goals. We will work together to get to the level that you aspire to and even beyond!

About the lesson

Before beginning our sessions we can have a short call discussing specific areas to focus on or specific concerns. For each topic there will be initial teaching that will be 1/4 of the session. Then the student will have the opportunity to try out a few questions with the chance to ask questions and gain more support if necessary. The student will then have the opportunity to present how they would answer a more difficult question in the topic area. Depending on how the sessions go, students will be provided with homework of the appropriate level. A key element of my teaching is for students to gain the confidence to ask questions and to really understand the fundamentals so they can use it for more challenging work. My qualifications include: - I studied (and thoroughly enjoyed) mathematics to A-level. - I have taught large classes (20-25) students in maths with good success - Bronze, silver, best in year and best in school award for UK maths challenge (UKMT) My lessons are ideal for students from primary year 4 all the way to GCSE level.
