About Prathamesh

I have contributed to both the Dreamworks series project in Technicolor and AAA titles for Rockstar games. I've been working in the animation industry for about 9 years, and in addition to that, I have an extensive track record of teaching character animation. My first interest is teaching, and animation is my core passion.

About the lesson

I'll walk you over every aspect of animation, from the basics to the more complex techniques, to help you land your first job in the rapidly growing field of animation and gaming. Structure of Class INTRODUCTION TO MAYA Learn the fundamentals of animation using Autodesk Maya, the most popular 3D animation program in the market. Learn the methods and resources used by professional animators to produce recognizable, animated figures to begin your path to becoming a successful character animator. INTRODUCTION TO ANIMATION In animation, you have to learn how to animate a walk cycle before you can move on to other kinds of shots, so you have to walk before you can run. You will discover the fundamentals of 3D character animation in INTRODUCTION TO ANIMATION, along with how to use them with basic forms. When you eventually need to animate speech shots and complex characters, this will provide you with a strong base. The ability to communicate emotion using even the most basic of characters is the most crucial skill you will acquire in this course. BASIC TO ADVANCED BODY MECHANICS Explore the physicality of animating bipeds, including full body walks, in the Body Mechanics animation course. Start by improving your ability to observe others and your knowledge of human anatomy as it relates to posture and mechanics. You'll discover how timing and spacing decisions may transform your animation from realistic to stylish after you comprehend the foundation of realistic motion. Lastly, give your animation some sheen and finish. Expand on your prior knowledge from earlier courses to animate ever more complex shots in the Advanced Body Mechanics animation course. Choose a character, then write your own action scene, use cuts to further develop the plot. Advanced Body Mechanics will teach you the techniques to make your character leap out of a plane or smash through walls. BASICS TO ADVANCED ACTING Two of the trickiest parts of character animation—animated conversation and pantomime acting—are covered in the Basic of Character Acting course. You can discover how to convey your character's feelings to the audience without using language or narrative by participating in pantomime acting.
