Hi everyone!
My name is Maria and I am very passionate about teaching and learning. I believe no one ever stops learning and so am always searching for ways to teach and learn from others.
I have been involved with teaching since school (assisting with after-school clubs for younger students) and then went on to study Education at the University of Hertfordshire, where I achieved a 2:1 BA (hons) degree.
After completing my degree I spent some time working with adults with physical and learning needs to broaden my experience of how different people learn and how I can use my knowledge and skills to teach people of all ages and abilities. Since relocating to Wales I have taken up a supply teaching position in a Special needs school for children aged between 3-19 and also offer tutorial sessions at local mainstream schools.
I'm a very positive person who aims to teach others how they wish to learn. I don't force my ways of teaching onto people; rather working alongside them to find a comfortable learning environment where we can both work hard to increase our knowledge and thrive on education.
