About Svetla
If you are looking for world-class rhythmic gymnastics tuition, you have come to the right place. My journey in this beautiful sport began at the highest level: I am an Absolute Junior European Champion, having won Gold for the Bulgarian National Group in Athens, 1987. In Bulgaria, I hold the prestigious title of Sports Master, a testament to a lifetime of technical discipline.
For the past 25 years, I have dedicated my life to developing the next generation of gymnasts in the UK. My credentials include:
- British Gymnastics Development Coach (Level 3)
- British Gymnastics County Judge (Level 2)
- Head Coach Experience: Over two decades managing programmes and guiding athletes from grassroots to competitive excellence.
I reside in London and hold a clear Enhanced DBS check and up-to-date Safeguarding Certification, ensuring a professional and safe environment for all students. Whether you are a beginner looking to find your grace or an advanced gymnast refining a high-level routine, I bring the "Bulgarian School" precision tempered with British coaching standards to every session.

My lessons are tailored to the specific goals of the gymnast, whether we are meeting online or in-person. I specialise in bridging the gap between basic movement and elite-level execution.
What we will focus on:
- Body Difficulty: Mastering pivots, leaps, and balances with the correct posture and flexibility required by the current Code of Points.
- Apparatus Technique: Expert tuition in Rope, Hoop, Ball, Clubs, and Ribbon—focusing on transitions and "mastery" elements.
- Routine Choreography: Using my experience as a County Judge to ensure your routines are mathematically sound for scoring and artistically captivating.
- Conditioning & Flexibility: Safe, effective stretching techniques to improve range of motion and core strength.
