About Edith
Playing at festivals across the American South for 6 years has sharpened my ear for the nuance of old-time music. You might find me working through double stops or complex shifting positions while keeping a steady hand on the bow. Classical repertoire and sight reading are my foundations, yet I really prioritize ear training and tuning by ear to help you find your own voice. "Your first time picking up the instrument should feel natural and productive. We focus on the basics of spiccato and staccato bowing immediately.
I provide a monthly progress report shared with parents to keep everyone aligned. My 6 years of experience ensures that we cover scales and arpeggios without it feeling like a chore.
It is rewarding to see how playing old-time melodies brings a genuine sense of accomplishment to the room. I aim for a 9.0 out of 10 level of clarity in every instruction. You will enjoy the feeling of finally hearing the music connect under your fingers."
