About Ben

Hi there! I am an established, published clinical researcher, with a clinical background as psychological therapist. I buily my career from scratch so I particularly understand the struggle as a student or someone who is trying to get into academia. I believe that every person can thrive under the right, positive support, so I always try to be critical yet empathetic.

My academic acheivement to date include:
- Associate Editor for Frontiers in Psychiatry
- Regular peer reviewer at multiple high-impact journals, e.g. JAACAP, Frontiers journals, BJPsych, BMC, Clinical Psychological Science, etc.
- First Author for five academic publications, cited over 300 times
- Academic dissertation supervisor for Medical student at Queen Mary University
- Lead researcher for multiple studies at NHS
- First Class Honour in BSc Psycholgy at UCL (University College London)
- Distinction in MSc Child and Adolescent Mental Health at KCL (King's College London)

About the lesson

I offer practical guidance on high-quality academic writing (Bachelor level or above). My goal is to equip you with the solid fundamentals as well as expert tips so that you can eventually become independent and successful in your academic journey.

Depends on which stage you are in, I provide a variation of professional support and feedback, including but not limited to: literature review, research/analytical plan, essay structure, statistics guidance, proofreading, mock peer-review, journal recommendation, personal/emotional support, career advice, etc.

Be it that you are writing an university assignment, or you are trying to gain your first peer-reviewed publication, my approach will improve your understanding as well as capabilities on both the macro-level as well as the micro-level.
