About Jeremy
I bring a friendly, conversational approach to teaching that focuses on building confidence and celebrating student strengths. With my background in creative writing, university teaching, and nonprofit work supporting diverse learners, I’m committed to creating a safe, encouraging space for every student to thrive. I’ve been a teacher, a writer, and a lifelong learner with a passion for connecting with curious minds. As a university instructor in creative writing and composition, I know how to make challenging topics engaging and relatable. Before my academic career, I worked in the nonprofit sector, supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental differences, and I grew up in an inclusive community that shaped my patient, adaptable teaching style. Other than reading, writing, and teaching, I also love movies, sports, DJing, and dare I admit I love karaoke.
