About Peta
I have many years ESL teaching in mainland China primary through year 12 at Yinghua International School, Guangzhou, PRC. I speak English as my native language but also speak fluent Mandarin. I lived in PRC for 12 years and after my teaching experience was a fashion buyer based in Guangzhou.

My main objective to teaching students is immersion in the language..that is to require them to use English rather than their native tongue and correct pronunciation and sentence structure. It is important and imperative to master a substantial and useful vocabulary that one can draw upon in conversational English. However, I find it very useful to be able to converse in Mandarin in certain circumstances.
