About Eriko
I wasn’t always a strong student, I used to struggle a lot, especially with languages and math. It was frustrating until I met a teacher who completely changed the way I saw learning. They showed me that the way we’re taught matters just as much as what we’re learning. That experience stuck with me. Now, as a neuroscience student who loves figuring out how people learn, I use that same approach to help others. I know what it feels like to be stuck or lose confidence, and I know how to get past it. My goal is to make learning less stressful and more doable with patience, curiosity, and strategies that actually work for you. Discover how science and language can actually make sense and even feel fun. I teach math, biology, chemistry, and Japanese using a structured yet adaptable approach that focuses on true understanding rather than memorization.
Each lesson combines clear explanations, visual examples, and active problem-solving. I use textbooks to provide structure and share my own notes to reinforce key points, ensuring every topic is clear and practical. My methods are influenced by my background in neuroscience — I focus on how the brain learns best, using recall and spaced repetition to help knowledge stick.
Lessons are a minimum of 50 minutes, giving enough time to explain, practice, and review without rushing.
With three years of tutoring experience, I’ve guided students in mastering difficult concepts, improving grades, and gaining confidence in their abilities.
