About Lizzy
I identify as a female human, a surfer, an environmental educator, and a lifelong learner. I love being in nature, going on adventures, writing, creating space for deep reflection, and the expansive relationship between inspiring and being inspired. I aim to embody an active hope for the future in all aspects of my life and work.
I have an array of experience in local government, environmental nonprofits, academia, and sustainable living/permaculture projects. In these sectors I have worked on environmental education, communications, project management, and outreach projects. I hold a Master of Science in Environmental Studies with a concentration in Coastal Management and a Master of Public Administration from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
I am currently teaching a Global Environmental Issues course that I codeveloped at Quinnipiac University and the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
