An enthusiastic qualified teacher with a Maths degree - Maths tutor with Eugene

I know Eugene as a friend of many years and as a helper with Maths challenges to myself and my 11 year old grand-daughter. Eugene has many qualities that would make him the ideal tutor.

He has the academic background and varied life experience to tutor a wide range and ability range. His enthusiasm for his subject is infectious and motivating. However, he has relevant personal skills too.
Examples:

People find him personable and friendly, with a calm manner that makes them feel as ease, comfortable with him. He's really interested in people and can establish a good rapport with them. As he's approachable you never feel a nuisance, rather he encourages you to be more positive.

He is a particularly good listener, clearly engaged and interested in the speakers point, hearing them out before answering and boosting confidence.
Communicates well, in particular he explains things clearly, but if nesessary finds other ways of getting the point across. He's very patient!

Last word from my grand-daughter: '....Thank you to Eugene from me, he has helped me A LOT....it would be really helpful to other children if he becomes a tutor. GREAT!!!

I have known Eugene since we were both at primary school in Blackburn in the '50s. We have kept in touch since then through secondary school and Oxford University and we meet up several times a year although we live 200 miles apart. He has been a teacher at various levels as well as working in industry using his mathematical skills, which go wider than cramming for exams, although he can certainly do that too. His patient manner is perfect for tutoring as I have observed when he has explained things to me many times. I have no hesitation in recommending him.
