About Lori
I have been giving lessons for a year now. I have taught about 30 students, some online, some face-to-face. I have learned a lot over the past year about the types of needs my students will potentially have. The common theme I have noticed when teaching different students, whether a native Spanish speaker, Chinese speaker, or Arabic speaker, is the complexity of grammar of the English language. I have helped my students overcome this with confidence. The best part about teaching is when I see my students face shine when they learn how to put their vocabulary words into full comprehensive sentences, thus allowing them to communicate effectively. There is no greater joy then this.

I am a ESL certified teacher. I have my certification form Bridge TEFEL and and certified in teaching adults, teens and children to became fluent in English as their second language. I am also certified by Bridge TEFEL to teach Business English. Through these courses I learned to be patient and understanding with my students. I can see the need for building from the ground up different grammar and speaking skills to give my students confidence in their new language.
