About Kamo

Hi there! I’m Kamo and I’m currently a medical student at The University of Sheffield. In my experience of being a tutor and over two years of being a mentor to prospective medical students, I have learnt the importance of understanding my students first in order to guide them where they would like to go. Accordingly, I am very passionate about fostering enthusiastic, confident and curious learners. In particular, I enjoy teaching and learning about Maths and Chemistry for their wide range of applications across academia and in conceptualising daily life. I offer lessons in KS3 and GCSE Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English Language and Literature, as well as A Level Biology, Chemistry and Physics. I have also volunteered to assist students with additional educational needs in GCSE Maths and Science during my A Levels. I am also more than happy to offer advice and assistance in all things related to applying to medicine (which includes advice on writing a personal statement, providing resources regarding interviews and entrance exams, as well as answering general questions about medical school). As part of my tutors training, I have received a certificate of completion of tutoring basics and I have a clear extended DBS check. Please feel free to send me a message or ask any questions.

About the lesson

Typically, I host 45-60 minutes lessons, where we look in detail at which aspects of the subject to work on, assess where there is a lack of understanding and gradually build up the skills to tackle any question. As a tutor, I hope to help students push themselves to their full potential and be excited to study! Therefore, I have thorough discussions with students to learn what study methods work best for them prior to doing any tutoring
