About Lily

I studied in a British-Canadian international school in Thailand, where I was also a representative for FOBISA (Federation of British International Schools in Asia) for sports and drama. I attended university in England where I studied BSc Hons Physical Education and Outdoor Education. I currently teach in an Alternative Provision School as a one-on-one teacher and a tutor. I am now teaching both native English speakers and pupils for whom English is not their first language and SEN teaching. I attempt to make the classes enjoyable while also providing opportunities for self-discovery. I enjoy sci-fi and fantasy, so pre-warning and apologies in advance if I begin to reference Star Wars or Lord of the Rings during our sessions.

About the lesson

Believe it or not, English is my second language, and I am excited to contribute and have an understanding on what learning a new language is like. I teach both native English speakers and those for whom English is not their first language. My teaching approach is based on self-discovery, and games play an important but not dominant part in my sessions. My lessons can range from 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on what your learning pace is. I am happy to give lessons according to your learning abilities and the pace at which you wish to study, I attempt to make the classes enjoyable while also providing opportunities for self-discovery.
