About Owen
- I am a 3rd year undergraduate at the University of Oxford reading Materials Science.
- I teach Maths, Physics and Chemistry from KS3 to A Level.
- I have 3 years experience tutoring maths, physics and chemistry both online and in person at all stages from KS3 to A Level.
- I studied Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry to A Level achieving A*AAA leading me to Materials Science at Oxford.
- Again, the best teachers I have had shaped how I learn and inspired me to study a physical science past school!
- Outside of study, I swim for Oxford University and was welfare officer for the club for 2020/21.
- Additionally, I teach swimming to 4-16 year olds and have done so for 4 years.
- In 2020 I volunteered to tutor with Coronavirus Tutoring Initiative to help deliver education to disadvantaged students while schools were closed.

- I enjoy teaching through examples as it allows my students to realise the purpose of the subject that they are learning. The process of helping someone grasp new concepts or clear up doubts is .
- I believe learning should start with the basics and build from those foundations. It is then best followed with relevant practice.
- Every student is different and learns at a different pace, so my lessons are tailored to each individual.
- I want learning Maths and Sciences to be fun! The best teachers I have had shaped how I learn and inspired me to study a physical science past school!
