About Rachel
I achieved a distinction in Trinity Grade 8 on bassoon. I have also done Grade 5 piano and music theory. I have been playing in groups and alone for the last 10 years. I also got an A* at GCSE music so I would be able to help with that.
I would provide a great start for anyone who is looking for professional lessons but wants a go first. Or if you have your music theory exam, or GCSE coming up then I would provide a last confidence boost before the exam. I have my own bassoon and piano that can be used, so no instrument is required.
I would usually teach theory/GCSE for an hour or music lessons for 30 mins.

I am a patient and friendly 17 year old. I have participated in countless bands and ensembles including a show band and double reed ensemble.
I can teach music theory up to Grade 5; Bassoon up to Grade 7; Piano up to Grade 3 and general music note reading.
I start lessons by recapping the previous lesson then we spend the majority working on whatever the student has flagged up or what I feel we need to work on. I will always end by checking that you have understood everything we have done in the lesson and talk about what you can do independently to prepare for the next lesson.
