About Andrea

I graduated in Finance in Modena, Italy. Currently in Birmingham after the achievement of a Masters' at Aston University. I'm Italian with a neutral accent (i was born in Brindisi, a town in the southern part of Italy, moved to Sardinia and studied in Modena, in Northern Italy). I have experience in teaching Italian to kids and adults of any age and nationality and I personalise the lectures based on the initial level, the interest and the objective of my students.

I have been living in the UK for two years so far and I have obtained a good mastery of the English language which enables me to communicate effectively to my students as well as to be clear to every kind of audience.

I also have basic Spanish language knowledge.

About the lesson

The experience in teaching Italian to foreigners has given me insight into the lecture ideal format standard structure.

Each lecture is fully planned in advance according to the interests, needs, and knowledge of the student. A standard set of lectures consist of theory and practices on what the student wants to focus on, such as writing, speaking, reading involving the student in the understanding the logic behind the complexity of Italian language, using parallelism with English or when possible, furnishing even explanation history-based and curiosities (if match with the student's interest). Homework is used to deepen what the student has learned during the lesson. I'm fully supportive and flexible in modifying the teaching plan over time according to the needs and responsiveness of the student. Always easy-going and friendly, I am open to every advice and alternative approaches.
