My teaching style leans toward "practicality + fun": I don't pile up pure theories. Instead, I always tie knowledge points to real-life scenarios—for example, using ride-hailing situations to learn "how long until you arrive," or borrowing milk tea sweetness choices to practice adjectives. I like to use Chinese-English bilingual "bridges," drawing analogies between English grammar and Chinese logic (such as explaining the "比" structure with "comparative"). I also use emojis and body language to help complete beginners break the ice. The classroom is like a "language lab." I often have students role-play (supermarket checkouts, restaurant reservations), play character-disassembling games (like "休" meaning "a person resting under a tree"), and even intersperse dialect trivia. The pace is brisk, and I encourage "better to speak incorrectly than not to speak at all." What matters more is whether students dare to speak up and can put what they learn into use—after all, learning a language is ultimately about having good conversations.
