About Zhanna

Hello everyone! My name is Zhanna, I am passionate about teaching and sharing my knowledge about the French language. As a tutor, I find immense joy in witnessing individuals start from scratch and embark on a remarkable journey of language acquisition, communication, and achieving their goals. In addition to teaching, I love hiking, exploring nature, watching movies, and traveling. Having visited 15 countries, I have gained invaluable experiences that have shaped me both personally and professionally. From the enchanting streets of Paris to the vibrant markets of Istanbul, each destination has left an indelible mark on my heart. Through my travels, I have gained a deeper appreciation for diversity, developed a global mindset, and cultivated a curiosity to learn from different cultures.

About the lesson

As a tutor, my approach is student-centered, focusing on creating a supportive and friendly learning environment. I adapt my teaching to meet the individual needs and learning styles of my students (I offer tutoring sessions for students from beginners to intermediate level). I use a combination of approaches, including communicative language teaching, task-based learning. I use authentic materials, such as real-life texts, videos, and audio recordings, to expose students to the target language in meaningful context. A typical lesson plan with me begins with a warm-up activity to activate prior knowledge. I then introduce new concepts or language points through explanations, examples, and guided practice. Throughout the lesson, I provide constructive feedback on grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation, helping students identify and correct their mistakes. This allows them to improve their accuracy and fluency in spoken language. I encourage students to actively participate, express their opinions, and engage in meaningful conversations. Additionally, I provide practical strategies to help students overcome challenges and achieve their language learning objectives.
