About Siau-Jiun

Hello! My name is Jiun, and I'm from Dunedin.

I am a product designer with over 20 years of experience in the industry. I began my career as a web designer at a company that developed accounting software. Later, I transitioned to designing user interfaces for GSM mobile devices in an R&D environment, including mobile themes for Nokia. I have also designed branding for events organized by multinational corporations like Unilever, Nokia, and HP. For the past 14 years, my UX/UI design skills have primarily focused on the tertiary education and personal finance industries.

I consider myself a mentor. The best learning experience occurs when individuals are encouraged to ask questions and share their ideas, making lessons more relevant and valuable. I have six years of experience as a learner facilitator in the English language at Ara Polytechnic. My self-driven coaching approach provides guidelines that empower individuals to acquire new skills. This method is ideal for curious, consistent people who appreciate structure and flexibility. Besides that, I have a year of experience coaching students on industry projects with Mission Ready.
