I always rely on the practical application of a language, with many examples and exercises that are important for the general benefit. Direct communication and frequent repetition is a big part of my teaching. That's why I like to pick up on modern topics in my lessons and also allow students to propose their own topics that interest them, so lessons stay exciting.
