About Margot

Hi! I’m Margot — a native French speaker now living in the UK. I moved here two years ago and hold an MSc in Social Psychology (Distinction) from the University of Kent. I also have a BSc in Psychology from Université Paris Nanterre in France. I currently tutor English alongside applying for PhD programmes. As someone who successfully achieved a C1 score on the IELTS and now studies and works in English every day, I understand the journey of learning English as a second language — from grammar struggles to real-life conversations. I offer friendly, tailored support for students who want to improve their spoken English, build confidence, or prepare for exams like IELTS, TOEFL, and TOEIC. I also have extensive tutoring experience and always adapt my approach to meet each student’s level, needs, and goals.

As a French native who moved to the UK and achieved a C1 IELTS score, I understand the challenges of learning English and can share the strategies that worked for me. Margot also helped me quite alot in providing easy to understand explanations of psychological theory and methods of statistical analysis.
