About Katie
With over 10 years of experience working in the independent school system, I bring both expertise and passion to my tutoring. Having served as Head of Middle School (Years 5 & 6) and taught English and Humanities in KS2 classrooms, I have a deep understanding of the academic and personal needs of pupils at this crucial stage in their education. I specialise in preparing students for the 11+ and 13+ entrance exams, with a proven track record of success in reading comprehension, creative writing, vocabulary, and exam strategy. My approach is supportive, positive, and motivating—I believe every child can unlock their potential with the right guidance and encouragement. In addition to face-to-face lessons, I am highly proficient with online learning.
