About Bethany
I am currently an undergraduate Psychology student at the University of Bristol, hoping to become an educational psychologist. I discovered a passion for the educational setting after completing a gap year working as a teaching assistant for SEND pupils. After this experience, I believe the most important thing for a pupil is the confidence that they have in their own abilities. I have completed A levels in English Literature, Psychology, and Performing Arts, all at A or A* grades, and have experience in assisting in teaching or running classes of my own for all of these subjects for 2 years. I have assisted pupils aged 3-16 at different stages in their education and varied ability levels. With a background in SEND, I am also happy to aid these students in developing their English skills.

I offer lessons with a duration of 1-2 hours, in which we will advance the pupil's literacy and writing skills, as well as honing creativity and building confidence along the way. In our first session, which is free, we will discuss the student's current academic progress, and assess any particular challenges that they would like to address. From this we will develop both short and long-term goals to make the most out of the journey. My approach to teaching is adaptable to the student's individual abilities, goals, and learning style, as education isn't always a one-size-fits-all process. English serves as a foundation for communication and critical thinking, and so I aim to assist the pupil in not only excelling academically, but also empowering them to develop essential real-life skills.
