About Paula
I have been teaching English classes for over 10 years, having undergone formal training in the area and holding an international certification. I have a double BA in English Language and Literature. My alma mater is UERJ (my final average was 9,32).
I'm currently a grad student at USP.
I direct the classes to the students' needs, using Google's virtual learning tools as a facilitator. I work with international materials, which I make available to my students, free of charge. I work on the four main skills (speaking, writing, listening and reading) and strategies for the student to use them effectively. I always try to develop the autonomy of my students in our classes, as the work we do in the classroom is only a part, even if pivotal, of the set that will make the student achieve his goals. It is important that there both parties are commited so that the process is not only pleasant but productive!
Our first class is free of charge as we will have a conversation so that I can better understand your goals and how to help you.

I learned English by myself as a child, even though I never lived abroad. I always studied on my own and never stopped. This whirlwind of information that I have accumulated throughout my life was shaped during college, where I received formal education in the subject. I am in a constant learning process, always involved with studying, researching and improving. In 2020 I became internationally certified by the University of Cambridge, being a Pass A CELTA holder and, in 2021, I will sit the CPE exam.
