About Kelly
I am an English Teacher specialising in Literature with a BA English with First Class Honors. I have 2 years experience in teaching 9-1 GCSE spec to secondary and mature students and have also delivered Functional Skills qualifications. I have privately tutored various students ranging from secondary (KS3 and 4), through college, and adults gaining qualifications later in life. I am currently completing a PhD proposal and about to begin an MA in Shakespeare. I have been editing and proofreading academic essays and creative writing for many years.

I believe in personalising my teaching in order to adapt and differentiate to the specific needs of the learner. Each learner is unique in their specific and often complex learning style. I aim to increase confidence, equip learners with knowledge of exactly what is required of them regarding their exam specification, and aim to arm them with a strong and personalised skill set with which to approach English and achieve their desired results. I also believe it is crucial to provide adequate and consistent challenge and to include elements of creativity and inventive approaches so that learning can be engaging and encouraging critical thinking.
