About Katherine
I am currently working at a language learning and childcare center near Bordeaux, France teaching beginner, intermediate and advanced level English and French to individuals, small groups and professionals. I also conduct immersive childcare sessions entirely in English. I have a diverse experience in the fields of research and education, with an emphasis on environmental studies and teaching French and English as foreign languages . I am also experienced in developing curriculum, using wide range of teaching methods and am interested in Montessori practices in education. My main interests are foreign language education, environmental education and research in geography and sociology

My teaching method is based on the needs of my students. I can conduct conversation lessons that are centered around a theme and inspired by relevant videos, articles, songs, stories, poems, etc. These conversations can be more or less structured depending on the needs and wants of the student, with guiding questions, grammar rules and relevant vocabulary integrated into the lesson. I will acutely listen and correct mistakes as the student speaks. I can also do structured lessons that go over specific grammar rules and vocabulary, and homework help.
