About Paul

My English teaching track record spans eighteen years, reaching at least a thousand students. I establish rapport easily; I am a likable guy. I prefer to put the student behind the wheel; I sit in back, guiding and advising. I have watched students improve in their GED skills and SAT skills, as well as general literacy skills, grammar and vocabulary in particular.

About the lesson

My teaching method is student-centered. They are encouraged to take charge of their own learning. I help to instill confidence as we practice skills in analysis, evaluation, application, comprehension, and knowledge. The last thing a student thinks about doing in my classroom is falling asleep. They are overdosed by humor, enthusiasm, and the love of a good story.
