About Sema
I am a student, I have been tutoring with a tuition centre from the ages of 16-20 and have been privately tutoring for two years now! I am competent and comfortable with working with a huge variety of both children and adults.

My approach is based on first identifying both the strengths and areas of difficulty for the student, followed by a plan comprised of practical application and visual/verbal lessons to help cater for both their shortfalls and their learning type. I aim to engage the student also through the use of gentle competition ("let's see if we can improve from last week's quiz and earn ourselves a two minute break!) Alongside a few treats also. (e.g. their favourite chocolate bar)

My son was struggling and with GCSE looming and with a couple of failed tutors previously I took the decision to give another tutor a go and asked Sema to tutor him.
She straight away understood how to engage him and within weeks I started to see vast improvements.
