About Niall

I'm a qualified language educator with a background in Teaching and Applied Linguistics, and a genuine grá for languages. I'm fluent in five languages myself, so I understand both the challenges and the rewards that come with learning a new language. My experience has given me a strong understanding of how languages work, how people learn them, and how to tailor lessons to different learning styles and goals.

I’m passionate about helping students build confidence and make real progress, whether they're starting from scratch, preparing for exams, improving their communication skills, or simply learning for the love of it. I believe learning should be engaging, practical, and suited to the individual rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

Outside of teaching, I’m a language enthusiast who enjoys exploring different cultures, reading about linguistics, traveling, and discovering the stories and histories behind languages. I’m always learning something new myself, which helps me relate to students and keep my lessons fresh and relevant.

About the lesson

I hold a Master's in Education and a Master's in Applied Linguistics and Intercultural Studies, with extensive experience teaching English, French, German, and Spanish to learners of various ages and proficiency levels.

My teaching approach is learner-centered and communicative, with clear learning intentions and success criteria guiding each lesson. I tailor lessons to students' individual goals, focusing on building confidence and developing practical language skills through engaging, evidence-based activities.

As a fluent speaker of five languages, I bring both professional expertise and personal experience to language learning, helping students overcome challenges and make meaningful progress.
