About the lesson

Hello! My name is Charlotte and I specialize in teaching humanities subjects, particularly English in various forms. I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Cambridge in England and I have a PhD in English from the University of Texas. I have worked for several years as a university professor, and I am a published scholar in my field. I also have a very long history tutoring K-12 and college level, and I have worked for over a decade as a professional writer. I can support not only academic goals but career goals as well. If you are looking to update your resume or prepare for a round of college admissions (undergraduate or graduate), I can help you put together a stellar personal statement. As a lifelong student myself, I know the challenges of learning something new and working on new skills. My lessons stand apart because I am student-centered in my approach and I will be truly invested in supporting your success, whatever goals you have set for yourself. I provide lessons for everyone from K-12 through to graduate level, so reach out to me if you need assistance with English language or literature subjects, writing, application essays, history or geography subjects, philosophy, French, German, or Latin.
