About Laura
I am a student at the University of Exeter, studying Geography. I studied A-Level English Literature and received the highest mark in my school (a high A*). I have always loved English Literature as a subject, and intended on studying it at university, but chose Geography for my future career path. For me, analysis and essay writing is an enjoyable activity rather than a chore, and I really want to spread that love with my tutees. Growing up, I struggled with essay writing, but I finally figured out my own strategies and techniques to write effectively and quickly, which are techniques I would love to share to help you grow confidence in your own writing abilities.

I prefer a chatty and relaxed approach to tutor sessions. I want to get to know you as your tutor, as I believe that personal opinion is key to good analysis and essay writing. I would set occasional work outside of tutor sessions, but mostly we would work through your own texts in the time we have. I will be available to contact outside of our tutor sessions, and I promise to answer any questions or queries you have as quickly as possible so that you get the most out of your sessions when we see each other!
