About Yoojin

I studied English Literature and Journalism in Korea when I was undergraduate. I used to help international students who were struggling for essay writing and Korean speaking. Most of my friends were Chinese however since our mutual language was English, I learned how to explain Korean language in easy English. Also, it was really helpful for me to understand why international students have difficulties in learning Korean. Since it was mandatory to take some courses about translation and interpretation in my school(English department) I devoted around 4 years how to transfer the meaning of context from Korean to English. I moved to the UK after graduation about 2 years ago, and I spent one year in Glasgow and Leeds for another year. I've got a master's degree in English Literature from University of Leeds. I've taught 4 different students from all different races and ages when I was in Leeds. I still keep in touch with my students and one of them is still learning Korean through online class. Due to covid-19 I am currently living in Korea with my parents and that's why I couldn't continue face to face class with my 3 friends.

About the lesson

We can watch k-drama, k-pop stars interviews.. for listening and speaking. And I send my students a vocabulary sheet every week for reading and writing. I make learning materials by myself such as drama script, a script for star's interview, grammar study, vocabulary sheets. To be honest, making materials takes a lot of time because everyone has different interests. (If you ask me to make specific materials, I really do!) But I really want to help you improve your Korean and I can proudly say that you actually will be improved! Also, I can teach academic Korean for the students who are preparing Korean test such as TOPIK. So students who are preparing for studying universities in Korea would be welcome too! I can prepare the class as you want! So please tell me what you like, and what you want to know and I'll be always here to help you!

Perfect! Great tutor. Friendly and very well organised. She pays attention to your knowledge ,if you have any previous knowledge ,and if not she has the resources and means to help you start this journey. Honestly a lovely girl and a great teacher ,would definitely recommend without hesitation!!
