I have a degree in English Literature and Creative Writing. I am a fiction writer and have published in many magazines and journals. I also have a background in film production, specifically assistant directing, a career I have held for ten years.

I like to personalize lessons to each student or group because I understand that learning is not always linear. I believe it is important to have a strong verbal foundation that creates confidence in expression. My goal with each student is to give them the confidence to express themselves accurately and coherently in English. Written aids will supplement their verbal skills and advance to written expression. In my lesson customization, I like to take a topic that interests the student and explore that first with vocabulary, sentences, and functional explanation and then the formation of new ideas and personal opinions to establish a connection with the topic and the English language itself.
